Card Printing and Boxes.

3 Feb

Better half dah buat a few mock up boxes utk letak our door gift.  It seems like it will take forever to just finish 1 box. Tak penyabar kot kitaorg ni eh. Macam a waste of time.  The ready made boxes yang ada jual on the Internet  or outside doesn’t fit with the size. We need at 11cm x 8cm x 8cm. And the cheapest we could find is RM1. I think its a bit too much just for a box.

So, we decided to go around and check the printing places. First we went to Brickfield yang kat belakang2 tu but we don’t see things that we like. Macam tak banyak kedai je or maybe we don’t know the exact place to look for it. After that we went to Jalan Brunei.
Jalan Brunei is a heaven to us! A lot of printing shops. We went to several companies and asked for quotation.  We were looking for papers as well for our invitation card. We were looking for a specific type of card tapi tatau apa nama dia. We wanted to find something like the recycle paper but yang keras sikit. Then we found a shop that sells the paper we want. Baru tau rupanya kertas tu is called Kraftboard paper. There are 3 thickness, 175g, 250g ang 300g. Size dia besar tapi diorang boleh potongkan according to our needs. Untuk A5 size wedding card (half of A4 paper)

Kertas atas untuk card, kertas bawah skali untuk kotak.

After that paper shop, kitaorg gi cari printing shop pulak. Found 1 printing shop yang amat murah. Untuk dua colors, depan belakang printing and for 1000 keping card size A5 (half of A4) is RM105. Itu untuk normal printing la. Takde hotstamp etc. Murah kan. Kalau kira sekali dengan the Kraftboard papers, our wedding card jatuh dalam RM0.20 satu. Weeee….we can definitely afford that! Oh I tak cerita lagi how would my card looks like.  We were thinking on doing postcard type invitation. google tgk macam possible je nak buat tapi untuk kena saiz besar sket.

Eh jap, bukan asalnya nak cari boxes eh tadi? Back to that. For the boxes, kitaorg nak guna Kraftboard yang tebal sikit. We found a shop that prints boxes untuk restaurants, bakeries etc.  Sampai kat kedai tu, I saw one guy tengah print kotak Cinnabon.  That guy showed us where the office is. We went to see their boss and I like him! He’s talkative, attentive and even try to find out whats the best for us.  That guy bagi quote dalam RM300 untuk print 1000 boxes with a simple printing on it (of our name and wedding date). Kalau kira balik, our kotak cost about RM0.50 satu. Okay gak kan?Ni mockup boxes yang better half buat. simple je.

We requested quotation based on this boxes lah. lepas ni letak doorgift then ikat ribbon je lah.

yaya, elly, nina: im not sure on how to get there sebenarnya.heee..memang fail la kalo bab direction. tapi jalan brunei ni belakang times square. dekat jalan pudu.

Nanti once i get the proper direction on how to get there from better half, ill let u guys know.Jalan ni banyak simpang..every simpang mesti at least one printing or kedai kad kahwin.kitaorg jalan satu lorong je sebab panas gila time tu.

Tempat printing card ni cam takde signboard. We thought kedai tu nama dia Shark Print. Ada sign board besar kat atas kedai tu. Rupanya Sharkprint tu another company kat tingkat atas. We didn’t check out that shop lak. kalo you guys pegi, try la tgk kedai tu sekali. Kedai kecik je.

    CG GTO Enterprise
    No 4, Jalan Brunei Barat,
    Off Jalan Pudu 55100
    KL.
    Phone: 03-21453242

    For boxes, we went to:

    E- sing Digital Print
    No 24, 1st floor,
    Jalan Nyonya, Pudu,
    KL.
    Phone: 03 21482663

Another shop yang kitaorg pegi is Bakti Tulin. Bakti Tulin ni nampak establish sikit. Samples kotak suma ada.
Kedai yang sarah mention kat atas tu boleh dikatakan takde sample except yg kita nampak dorang tgh print kat tempat diorang.
This is the first shop we went. Quote dia mahal sket but we did ask for someting with design and printing and different type of paper tapi tu pon dia charge RM1.
If we want something like kitaorg request from E-sing, I think it would probably be about the same price as E-sing.

    Bakti Tulin
No 29A, 31,41,43 Jalan Brunei Barat
Jalan Brunei Barat, Off Jalan Pudu,
    55100 KL.

Advisable if you guys bring your doorgift as well so senang dorang nak tolong kira berapa banyak paper they need to print out the cards or the boxes.
